Burnie O. Watson, 90, of Crown City, OH., passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV.
He was born September 25, 1922, in Miller, OH., son of the late Patrick and Liza Watson.
He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by three children who loved him very much Dorothy (Paul) Short, Burnie Watson, Elizabeth (David) Walters, and their mother Kathleen Watson, seven grandchildren Paul, Jr. (Wendy) Short, Tivis (Angie) Short, Burnie (Jennifer) Short, Cathy (Chad) Simpson, Jamie (Tracy) Walters, Jason (April) Walters and Jeremy (Michelle) Walters, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special companion Leona Rossiter.
Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, October 29, 2012, at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, OH., by Pastor Charles Turley. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH. Proctorville V.F.W. Post 6878 will conduct military graveside rites.
Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
