On September 18, 1897, she was married to James W. Alderson. To this union were born three children: Lloyd Alderson, Chester, Nebr.; Mrs. Maude Norris, Wichita, Kans.; and Mrs. Ethel Cox, Kansas City, Kans. She also acquired nine step-children, of which six preceded her in death. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1920. In 1933 she was married to the late Fred McChesney.
She moved to this community in 1934 and placed her membership in the Chester Christian Church in October 1943.
She leaves two brothers, Abe and George Fletcher, Marysville, Kans.; three children, Lloyd Alderson, Mrs. Maude Norris, and Mrs. Ethel Cox; three step-children: Edd Alderson, Irving, Ks.; Mrs. Mayme Woodside, Denver, Colo.; and Wm. Alderson, Chicago, Ill.; seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Christian Church, Chester, Thursday, Sept. 25, Rev. Ray Outler officiating. A quartet, Mrs. Ray Outler, Mrs. Wilbert Crouse, Ernest Moxham and Don Canfield sang, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Crouse at the organ. Pallbearers were: Dean Norris, John Ballinger, Gary Norris, Jack Norris, Millard Peterson and Louin Norris. Interment was made in the Belleville, Kansas, cemetery. Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
