Gladys M. (nee Skindelien) Niederloh, born April 18, 1913, in Kandiyohi Co., died Nov. 6, 2004 at Robbinsdale at age 91.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; grandson, Paul; brothers, Kermit, Orlyn and Julian. Survived by son, Bill (Kay); daughter, Barbara (Bob) Schachtschneider; grandchildren, Steven (Donna), Jeff (Lisa), Kurt (Tammy), Lisa (Patrick), Maureen (Jerry), Ann Marie (Mike)l great-grandchildren, Natasha, Jessica, Brittney, Ryan, Taylor, Alex, Whitney, Mariah, Gage, Hailey, Hunter, Christian, Emma; brother, Arnold; sisters-in-law, Lenore and Marian; many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was a 70-year resident of North Minneapolis. Gladys was an active volunteer and was recognized by North Memorial Hospital for 37 years of active volunteering. She received the 1990 Volunteer of the Year Award from Governor Rudy Perpich, for giving of herself to So Many volunteer organizations. She was a Member of Immanuel and Peace Lutheran Churches throughout her life.
Gladys was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She touched so many lives and was so loved. In lieu of flowers, it was her wish that memorials be directed to Peace Lutheran Church or Prism Transportation.
Visitation was one hour prior to service at church and also Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. at Washburn-McReavy DuSchane Chapel, 4239 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale. MN.
Funeral services were Wednesday, 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 4512 France Ave. North, Robbinsdale, with burial following at Crystal Lake Cemetery, Robbinsdale, MN.
