Catherine Buckley, daughter of Daniel Buckley and Ann Warner, was born near Macroom or Kilnamartyra, Cork, Ireland, about 1822, and immigrated to Boston with her mother and sister in the late 1820's to Boston, joining her father who arrived first. A record of Catherine's birth has not been located, but there is a church record for her grandparents John Warner and Ellen Leary, who were married at Macroom 19 January 1786.
The family of Daniel Buckley and Ann Warner lived behind the gun house on Fort Hill for many years.
Catharine Buckley married Michael Edward Kelley at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, 13 October 1843, and they had several children.
