Son of Amos and Ann (Novotny) Hubka. Married Dec. 21, 1915 to Libbie Houdek.
Father of three children: One son, Leslie; two daughters, Lorene and Irene.

Bohumil Hubka, son of Amos and Anna Hubka was born April 17, 1892, at DuBois, Nebraska and departed this life on April 30, 1964, at the Washington County Hospital at the age of 77 years and 13 days.

On December 21, 1915, he was united in marriage to Libbie Houdek and to this union one son and two daughters were born.

Bohumil was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, four brothers and by his wife, Libby.

Survivors include his son, Leslie of Washington; daughters, Lorene Torpening of Anderson, South Carolina and Irene Odgers of Seneca, Kansas; one daughter-in-law and two sons-in-law; three granddaughters and five grandsons; a sister and three brothers, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Morrowville, on Saturday May 2, 1964 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dwight Neville officiating. Intement was in Morrowville Cemetery.

Bohumil was in a band with his other brothers called "The Hubka EIGHT BROTHERS BAND." The Belleville Telescope, April 6, 1922 issue had this article about them.

Made up entirely of eight brothers, the Hubka Bros. band, near Narka.- The band was organized in 1908 with Stanley Hubka as leader, and maintained its original organization since the personel of the band and the instruments played are as follows, Top row left to right: Stanley Hubka, Bb solo cornet; Fred Hubkla, 2nd cornet; Bohumil Hubka, solo Bb clarinet; Charlie Hubka, Eb clarinet; Lower row, left to right: Amos Hubka, Eb bass; Rudolph Hubka, Eb alto; August Hubka, solo alto; and Lloyd Hubka, Eb baritone.
