Melvin M. Slattery

Services for Melvin M. Slattery, 57, of 2533 Stafford Ave., will be held at 11 am Thursday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 pm Wednesday at the Hoffmann-Tierney Mortuary, where the wake service will be held at 8 pm Wednesday.

Mr. Slattery died Monday afternoon at Xavier Unit, Mercy Health Center. He was born in Zwingle, Iowa, and had been shipping foreman at Celotex Corp. He was a member of Sacred Heart Holy Name Society and a World War II Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, the former Madonna Ryan; three sons, Roger and Allan, both of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert, at home; one grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Lester (Helen) Bailke of Cedarburg, Wis.
