Graveside service was held in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas, at 3:00 p.m., December 20, 2006 under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home, Chandler, Texas.
Mr. Rigsby died December 18, 2006 in a Tyler nursing home. He was born May 19, 1920 in Montgomery, Alabama.
He lived in the Dallas area until moving to Chandler in 1982. He attended Lake Palestine United Methodist Church. He worked as an aircraft mechanic for Braniff Airways. He was past President of 112th Calvary Association and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Naomi Marie Rigsby.
Survivors include sons, Claude R. Rigsby Jr. and wife Linda of Mesquite, Texas and Jerry Rigsby of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Patricia and husband M.W. Elliott of Grand Prairie, Texas; brother, Cecil Rigsby and wife Lorrinne of Austin, Texas; sister, Addie Hambrick of Houston, Texas; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
