Born in Arcade, Oct 15, 1910, he was a son of Byron and Maude Shellman Peckham. For 30 years, he distributed gas in Yorkshire with his father, and in later years he was self-emptoyed as a carpenter and cabinet maker.
Mr. Peckham was a past member of the Crystal Hose Fire Department; and a former assessor for the Town of Yorkshire and had been associated with the Yorkshire United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his widow, the former Mertie M Kittleson, two daughters, Mrs. Eldyn (Patricia) Davies of Rushford and Mrs. Arthur (Donna) McElheny of Yorkshire; and six
grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today (Monday, May 23, 1972) in Yorkshire UM Church with the Rev. Paul Whitcomb, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Yorkshire Cemetery under the direction of W.S. Davis Funeral Home, Arcade.
