Ellen Alletta Blevins was born January 31, 1924 in Tahoka, Lynn County, Texas. Known as Alletta, she was the third born of six children to Bertha Ellen Gadberry and James William Blevins.
Alletta married Cecil Earl Allen on December 20, 1940, in New Mexico. Together they had three children: Tommy Cecil, September 18, 1941; Nancy Ellen, February 18, 1943 – September 6, 2012 and Earl Junior, July 2, 1953.
In the 1960's Alletta started working as a secretary/bookkeeper for Ramsey's Logging Company, where she worked for approximately 20 years.
Alletta enjoyed hunting, fishing, needle work and was an excellent seamstress. She was an active member of the Church of Christ. During retirement Alletta and Cecil traveled in their 5th wheel, finally settling down in T or C, New Mexico.
Alletta passed on October 28, 2001.
