12 December 1881 in Centerville, Leon County, Texas
Family story is he was dissatisfied with " the living arrangements " in the family, it could have been the division of property after his father's & mother's deaths and he left South Carolina going for Texas abt. 1853 with no contact with the family after that
He is buried in an unmarked grave, in an area before “Union Cemetery” was established exists now but it didn’t at the time of his death. The location is North of Hwy 7, near the Union Cemetery at the highest point of the hill by William “Paul” Gunnels. (information provided by Jerry Burch #47379161) Thank you Jerry.
