Saturday, August 15, 1953; San Diego Union newspaper:

"Mrs. Alyce Joan Morrison, 41, of 264 Del Mar Ave., Chula Vista, was injured July 31 and died Aug. 3. She was a passenger in an auto driven by her husband, Leon Morrison, 37, a Navy chief machinist mate of Submarine Group One, Naval Station.

"His car was involved in a collision with another car and a Navy truck on Harbor Dr. near the Naval Station."

"Alyce. Wife of Leon Morrison. Daughter of Anna Brevor, Sister of John, Larry, Ed and Andrew Backe, Mrs. James Schollard, Mrs. A. Lyons, Mrs. Cliff Le Gare. Recitation of Rosary Tues., 8:30 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church. Requiem Mass Wed., 9 a.m. Hubbard Mortuary."
