Dean was a 1947 graduate of Chalmers High School. He had worked in farming before going to work at Chrysler. Dean retired from Chrysler in 1994 after nearly 30 years of service. He was an active member of Crossroads Community Church. He was actively involved in music ministry in the local nursing homes and enjoyed golf.
Dean is survived by his three children, Pam Yoder Rhine (Sam), of Fishers, Candee Nustra (Jerry), of Wauconda, Ill., and Todd Yoder (Kay) of Camden; eight grandchildren, Drew Rhine, Amy Rhine Clark, Jon Nustra, Lindsay Nustra Karnats, Chad Yoder, Carrie McIlrath, Nic Yoder and Lori Wolf; 19 great-grandchildren; three brothers, his twin, Dane Yoder, of Dayton, Ind., Don Yoder, of Brookston, Dennis Yoder, of Sacramento, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Doug Yoder, one sister, Eloise Lucas, and one brother, Devon Yoder.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Community Church, 4254 S. 00 East-West, Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Harlow officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Lawn Cemetery at Flora. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Community Church.
