Norman Leo Wills

Leo Wills, 81, passed away in Rice, Texas on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Leo was born in Aquilla, Texas, on May 24, 1931 to Tom and Ina (Tanner) Wills. He grew up in Lubbock, Texas and attended school in Kaufman, Texas.
On June 1, 1952 he Married Helen Lively and they made their home in Lubbock for several years before settling in Ennis in 1969. He served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He worked for Hamilton Accoustical Co.for many years in Lubbock and for Allen Samuels Autoplex in Ennis.
He was a member of the Church of Christ, the Country Club Road, and Carpenter Union Local 198. He was an avid fisherman, woodworker and made the Best Ever Bar-B-Que brisket.
He loved baseball and the Texas Rangers...when they were winning.
He was an animal lover and took care of the stray cats at Cottonwood. He was a family man and his family was always first with him.He is survived by sons: Gary Wills and his wife, Paula of Houston, Rusty Wills and his wife, Laura of Huntsville, AR; daughters: Linda Garrett and her husband, Doyle of Rice and Jan Santos and her husband, Raymond of Ennis; eleven grandchildren: twelve great-grandchildreyn: one brother, Ronnie Wills and his wife, Gloria of Lubbock; two sisters: Juanez Cheek and her husband, Donald of Lubbock and Linda Carol Knowlton and her husband, Doug of North Richland Hills along with his very close friend Shannon Biddy and many other friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Helen Lively Wills, one son, Billy Leon Wills and two sisters, Peggy Dodd and Charlotte Wills.Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Gary Haley and Scott Brazzel officiating. Pallbearers will be Tom Peyton, Isaiah Santos, Freddy Santos, Zach Wills, Shannon Biddy and Robert Breazeale. Honorary Pallbearers will be David Harwell, Chuck Moody, Craig Haley and Polo Hernandez. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary,
