A. M. Ballard, a widow of 28, and Miss Clara Camden obtained license here and went to Louisville to marry Wednesday.

A. M. Ballard, brother of Robert Y. Ballard, of Waynesburg, was killed at Peru, Ind., in a wreck on the Wabash Railroad. He was an engineer on that road. The remains were brought to this county for interment. A wife, who was a Miss Camden, and one child survive him. W. A. Hammond and wife and the pastor of his church, Rev. Thompson, of Peru, accompanied the body. The former is Chief of B L E 548 of which Mr. Ballard was an honored member. Mr. Ballard was an officer in F and A M, also and a member of his church choir. No engineer stood higher than he with the Wabash system.
