The Moultrie Observer, Colquitt Co., GA,

MOULTRIE -- Jack Shiflett, 75, of Moultrie died Monday, June 7, 2004, at his residence. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Harrell-Faircloth Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Fussell officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Mike Sheffield, Bill Jones, Michael Blackstock, Chad Hiers, Jay Hiers and Gus Coburn.

Born July 3, 1928, in Colquitt County, Mr. Shiflett was the son of the late Homer and Lucille Shiflett. He was retired from Kaufman and Broad Mobile Home Manufacturing and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Margaret Miles Shiflett.

Survivors include one son, Jack Lee Shiflett and wife Jamie of Sylvester; two daughters, Jacqueline Elaine Hiers and husband Paul J. of Biloxi, Miss., and Margaret Virginia "Ginger" Coburn of Dothan, Ala.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
