Deloris M. Cohee, 89, Kokomo, went home to Jesus at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012. She was born to Jasper and Maude Templin on June 6, 1923. On July 2, 1976, she married Don Cohee, who survives.

She loved her four boys with all her heart and soul. Deloris was a devoted grandmother, leaving behind many wonderful memories with her grandchildren. For many years she was a homemaker, raising chickens, turkeys and tending her garden. She loved canning the bounty from her garden. She later went to work at Cuneo Press until it closed in 1976. She then went to work at Woody's in Alto, where she became known for the ham salad she made, as well as her smile and friendliness to all who shopped there. Deloris was a member of First Church of the Nazarene for 67 years, and loved Jesus with all her heart.

She leaves behind her husband of 36 years, Don Cohee; four sons, Robert (Linda) Brantley, Barry (Toni) Brantley, Michael (Kris) Brantley, and Paul (Rhonda) Brantley; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two stepchildren, Ron and Dian Cohee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a great-granddaughter, Morgan.

The family especially wants to thank the angels at Premier Hospice, who were so kind and caring during this difficult time. We love you Rita, Nicole and Angel.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, 2734 S. Washington St., with Pastor David Leeder officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Manna Ministries at First Church of the Nazarene, with envelopes available at the church. Stout & Son Funeral Home, Russiaville, assisted the family with arrangements.
