Son of Jesse James Salisbury & Ethel Ati Parker

Ronald P. Salisbury Sr., 87, of South Charleston passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2005, in CAMC Memorial Division after a long illness.

Ronald formerly attended Southwest Church of God and was a graduate of South Charleston High School. He served his country in the US Army during World War II. For ten years, he was an officer with South Charleston Police Department and he retired from Union Carbide with 28 years of service.

He was the son of the late Jesse J. Salisbury and the late Ethel Parker Salisbury. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest, Paul, Vernon, and Royce.

Mr. Salisbury is survived by his wife, Maxine; Peachie; Mooney Salisbury; sons, Ronald Salisbury Jr. and Byron Salisbury, both of South Charleston; daughter, Cheryl L. Carroll of New Bern, N.C.; brother, Rupert Salisbury of Rupert; grandchildren, Whit and Devin Carroll, Adam, Nick, and Zack Salisbury, and Amy Shaluta; and great-grandchildren, Khalei, Rhiannon, Jamya, Savanna, and Alex.

We would like to thank Dr. William Harris for taking care of Ronald for over 20 years, and also the nurses of 3-North at CAMC for their compassionate and tender care.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar with the Rev. Dr. Larry McCallister Sr. officiating. Committal and entombment services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 16, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Friends may call two hours prior to the
service Friday at Keller Funeral Home, Dunbar
