OLIVER, Mary, Born November 30, 1928, in Utica, New York. Passed away April 8, 2006, in Palmdale, Calif. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Frank Oliver, children, Carmen Oliver and Frances Oliver, grandchildren, Cassandra and Treva, great-grandchildren, Mazie, Dustin, William and Alexander. Mary's passion was for learning, but her bigger passion was teaching. She worked for the Los Angeles County School District on and off for over 40 years. She worked primarily with the developmentally disabled. She was an advocate in helping them to become independent and self-reliant. She brought them dignity and respect. Her goal was to help them be the best person they could be and encouraged them to try to work beyond the limitations others imposed on them. The love and fellowship she shared with her family and numerous friends will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Chapel of the Valley Mortuary with Pastor Don Welsh of the Antelope Valley Church of Religious Science officiating.
