Clara Saville (Bowers) Burden was the
5th child of William Eyre and Henrietta (Ickes) Bowers. She was born March 7,
1853 at Mifflin, PA. In 1867 she moved with her parents and family to Gilson,
Knox Co. IL. and lived there until 1870 when the family moved to Sedgwick Co.
KS. She was married to E. A. Burden of Chicago, Illinois and they had three
children: Sue, Eva and Maude. Married Edgar Augustus Burden (1845 - Feb. 22, 1896) in Illinois. Edgar is buried in Dubuque, IA. Clara died March 1, 1929 at Phoenix, Arizona but
is buried in Michigan.
