*************************************** Dr Kenneth Hazen Aynesworth, Sr, 69, was a member of the Board of Regents for the University of Texas. Surgeon, educator and archaeologist, Dr. Aynesworth was a long time resident of Waco, Texas. He began his medical study at Baylor University in 1892 and graduated from the University of Texas in 1899.

Dr. Aynesworth interned at John Sealy Hospital and became house surgeon and in 1900 was appointed superintendent. In 1901, he was made demonstrator of anatomy but in 1902 sailed for Europe for postgraduate work.

He had been a member of the Waco board of health, a member of the Waco School Board, was former chair of the City Planning Commission and a director for the Chamber of Commerce. He was appointed a regent of the University of Texas by Gov James Ferguson in 1933 He founded the Texas Surgical Society and was an ex-president.

Dr. Aynesworth donated the Texas history library and 1000s of archaeological specimens to Baylor University. He was an authority on the history and archaeology of the Southwest.

Dr. Aynesworth belonged to county, state and national branches of the medical association He was a fellow of the Southern Surgical Societ. He was a Baptist and a Mason.

Survived by his wife; four children - Kenneth Hazen Aynesworth, Jr, Morgan Brian Aynesworth, Edna Maude Crosthwait, Nancy Milling Mann.

Services were held at the First Baptist Church officiated by pastor, Dr. J.M. Dawson.
