Age 54, passed away at his home on south Fifth street Saturday . . . when he suffered a stroke while at the Marting Hotel. He was born March 4, 1870 in West Virginia and after completing his education entered the Louisville Medical College from which he graduated, later taking post graduate course in New York City. On Feb. 10, 1897 he married Miss Nellie Marting, daughter of Col. H. A. Marting and for more than 20 years was actively engaged in the practice of medicine in this city. . . . No children were born to this marriage and the widow is left to mourn. He is also survived by his father Lee Lowry, of Lowry Farm, near Kitts Hill, one sister, Mrs. Alice Barger, also of Lowry Farm, and one brother Dr. J. W. Lowry of this city. Another sister Dr. Sadie Lowry, died a few years ago. Interment: Woodland.
