Minnie M. Angell, Daughter of Andrew and Joanna Parcelle Matterson was born in the town of Morris on August 15, 1896. She had been ill from pleurisy for three weeks, but was improving when she died suddenly of coronary thrombosis on April 22, 1937.
She attended school in New Berlin when Prof. Stanford Gibson was teacher and then taught district school for two years. She nursed in Hartwick and vicinity for several years later going west where she continued nursing until 1920 when she came to New Berlin and married Aden J. Angell in her early life she united with the New Berlin Presbyterian church.
Mrs Angell is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs Bertha Blaier of California, step children Mrs Howard Kneeland of Clinton, Loren M. Angell of Albany, LaVere H. Angell of Paterson, N.J. and Hubert A. Angell of New Berlin, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was held a the Dakin funeral parlors on Monday afternoon and was largely attended. Rev. John MacCulloch officated. Miss Ruth Kneeland of Utica sang an oratorio, "God Shall Wipe Away All Tears". Burial was made in Fairview Cemetery. - Gazette
