Emma M. Storm, of New Oxford, entered into God's eternal care September 16, 2012. She was the wife of Martin V. Storm to whom she was married 67 years.
Born February 28, 1926, in Irishtown, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Edna (Miller) Hartlaub.
Emma had been employed at Freeman Shoe Co., Middleburg Mfg., Coulson Heel, and Livingston Shoe.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove and the Irishtown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Emma enjoyed sewing, quilting, doing embroidery, working in her outside flower beds, and especially yard sales.
Surviving in addition to her husband are five children, Mark "Marty" Storm and wife, Cathy of New Oxford, Marie Penley and husband, Richard of Spring Grove, Kenneth Storm and wife, Cindy of New Oxford, Richard Storm of York Springs, and Janet Arnett of New Oxford; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson; one brother, Kenneth Hartlaub of McSherrystown; and one sister, Martha Louey of Hanover.
She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Catherine Eck, Mae Staub, Rose Etzler, Mary Long, Ralph Hartlaub, Bernard Hartlaub, and a baby brother Charles Hartlaub.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., September 19, 2012, at Sacred Heart Basilica in Edgegrove, with Rev. Lawrence J. McNeil officiating. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Edgegrove.
