William E. "Bil" Hauck 76, of Fishers, IN, formerly of Carmel, IN, departed this life Sunday, December 3, 2006 after a courageous battle with metastatic pancreatic cancer. Bil was born July 5, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to William Sr. and Lillian Hauck.

Aside from being a loving, dedicated and honorable husband, father and Papa, Bil was an avid sports fan, philosopher, literary and traveler. As a US Navy veteran, he served two tours in the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion Post #470 in Fishers, IN.

Bil was a sales man at heart and the Founder and CEO of Hospital's Foundation Program, until his retirement. He was also a published author of the novel "The Head Choppers."

Bil is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jean Alette Jacoby; children Kathy Taylor, W. Everett Hauck, Cindy McClure (Kevan), Jeannie Vasil (Robert), Christine Field (David); ten grandchildren, Andrew, Everett, Kaitlyn, Hannah, Garret, Hunter, Grace, Harrison, Carley, Nicholaus; sister, Barbara Mohler (Dan), and brothers, David, Bob, and Dick.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ronald.

Services entrusted to Shirley Brothers Fishers-Castleton Chapel, 9900 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN.
