BOONE-Mr. George Pardon Boone, Jr., age 66, of Barnwell, S.C., loving companion of Dorothy Dixon and son of the late George Pardon Boone, Sr. and the late Martha Ellen Randall, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 10, 2012. In addition to his faithful companion, he was survived by a daughter, April Lynn (Bubba) Jeffcoat of Leesville, S.C.; a son, Kenny (April) Boone of Batesburg, S.C.; sisters, Sherry (Lonnie) Griffin of Couchton, S.C. and Sarah Atkinson of Windsor, S.C.; brothers, James (Louise) Williams of Aiken, S.C. and Thurman Murray, Jr. of Batesburg, S.C; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, LuLu Kaney. He was born in and was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was retired from the State Highway Dept. where he worked in road maintenance. He was a dedicated member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Gloverville, S.C., where he dearly loved his church and church family. He was a special person with a sweet disposition and very easy to get along with as anything seem to suit him. He was an avid fisherman, and he really loved his trucks. Yes, he shall be greatly missed by his companion, family and friends; however, life for him has not ended as God has promised eternal life for all who believe on him. With proper preparation, there is a consolation in knowing that his family and friends can one day see him again, but until that time, he shall live on forever in everyone's hearts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Wednesday evening, September 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating his life and home going will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Gloverville Church Of Prophecy in Gloverville, S.C. with Rev. Kitty Still, Rev. Walter Smith, Rev. Tommy Gillam and Rev. Birdie Altman officiating. The interment will follow at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, S.C. The pallbearers will be James Williams, Thurman Murray, Jr., Donald Wooten, Tommy Kaney, Glenn Garvin and Robbie Griffin. Memorials, in Mr. Boone's honor, may be made to his church, P. O. Box 1612, Barnwell, S.C. 29812. Mr. Boone will be placed in the chuch at 12:00 Noon the day of the service.
