Between 1833 and 1840, he removed with his family to Napoli, Cattaraugus, NY. In 1840 he removed with his family to Oberlin, Lorain, OH. In 1853 he removed with his family to Cedar County,IA. He was a farmer by trade and attended the Congregational Church.
