Clara Bell McWilliams was born 11 Sep 1873 in Greensburg, Knox, MO to John H. McWiliams, Jr. and Mary "Polly" Weston. She married Charles Marion Grubaugh on 19 Oct 1890 in Christian County, MO. They had four children together -
Bessie Catherine Grubaugh Putney (1891-1938)
William Franklin Grubaugh (1893-1939)
Margaret E. Grubaugh McCormick Mills (1896-1989)
Harvey McDonald Grubaugh (1899-1981)

Clara reportedly abandoned the family in 1901, running away with a circus personality, Alee B. Costlow. They were married on 12 Sep 1901 in Christian County, MO, but it is not certain that a divorce was ever granted from her marriage to Charles Grubaugh. The marriage with Alee lasted about 10 years (no children) and Clara married William Mycieth Dalby on 23 Jun 1914 in Salt Lake City, UT. Clara and Alee were official declared divorce on 16 Jan 1919 in Greene County, MO. Clara married John Peter Anderson on 2 Jan 1919 in Kemmerer, Lincoln, WY. She eventually married a mule skinner, John P. Sullivan. Clara died in 1952 in Nevada and her son, Harvey McDonald Grubaugh, had her buried in his family plot at Wasatch Memorial Gardens.
