Tommie L. Cole

Tommie L. Cole, 52, of 1435 Superior Ave., died Friday at St. Nicholas Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1936 in Sterling City, Texas, a son of the late Ernest and Agnes Purvis Cole. He attended local schools. He served over eight years in the United States Marine Corps in Korea and Japan reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. On August 19, 1954 he married the former Emily Arrowood in Antigo. The family came to Sheboygan in 1966. He was employed at Specialty Packaging Co. of Plymouth until his illness.

Tommie is a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the Oldtimers Baseball Association.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Jeffrey (Debra) and Steven; two daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Emily) Fale and Mrs. Bart (Jean) Jensen, all of Sheboygan; twelve grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd (Buddy) of San Augustine, Tx., William, Grapeland, Tx.; Leslie, San Angelo, Tx.; two sisters, Mrs. Jo Vinson and Miss Shirley Cole, both of Pasidena, Tx. He was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at the Habermann Funeral Home, 805 N. 6th St. from 4 until 8 Sunday. Services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Michael Wiese, pastor of Mapledale Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

A memorial fund has been established in Tommie Cole's name.
