Services for Dorothy E. Campbell, 75, of 1029 22nd St., Rock Island, are 10
a.m. Monday at Knox-Larson Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial is in Rose Lawn
Memorial Estates, Moline.

Visitation is 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society.

Mrs. Campbell died Thursday, March 13, 1997, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 23, 1921, in Gayes Mills, Wis., the daughter of Luther and
Anna Lowe Wheeler. She married James Campbell Sept. 6, 1941, in Kahoka, Mo. He
died Oct. 5, 1990.

Dorothy was a waitress at the Dutch Inn, Rock Island, for 20 years. She
enjoyed playing bingo, cards and going to Reno, Nev.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Hayes, Rock Island; grandchildren, Angela
Foley and Anthony Hayes, both of Rock Island, and Vicki Ackley, Cedar Rapids;
and great-grandchildren, Stephanie English, Cedar Rapids, BJ and Brandon
Foley, both of Rock Island, and Ashley Hayes, Moline.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Elsie Andrews, Irene Pollard, Arvilla
Andrews, and Isabell Overby; and a brother Earl Wheeler.
