Dwaine was the son of Edward Allen and Mildred Pence. He married Frances Dec 1 1953 at Lake City, IA. They were the parents of Mark, Dennis, and Edward.

Contributed by Rich - Dwaine Allen was born on Dec. 15, 1927, at Lake City, the son of Edward and Mildred (Pence) Allen. He graduated from Lake City High School. On Dec. 1, 1953, Mr. Allen was united in marriage to Frances Merlene Patterson at Lake City. The couple had three sons: Dennis, Mark and Edward. They moved to Sac City in 1965.

Mr. Allen was machinist and inspector at Noble Manufacturing Company of Sac City until the firm closed. He was a machinist at Midwest Industries of Ida Grove until his retirement in 1990. Mr. Allen was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sac City. For over 20 years he was a member of Stormy Water Rollers. In his early years he was a Cub Scout leader and baseball coach. He enjoyed camping and woodworking.

Mr. Allen is survived by his wife Frances; son Dennis Allen of Sac City; two brothers: Roy Allen and his wife Doris of Springfield, Mo., and John Allen of Rockwell City; two sisters: Jeanette Smith of Centerville and Irene Tasler of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by two sons, Mark and Edward.
