SOUTH HADLEY - Mary E. (Cox) Forgette, 76, of Lathrop Street, died Monday in Holyoke Hospital.
Born in Holyoke, April 30, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McLaughlin) Cox.
She was educated in Holyoke schools.
Mrs. Forgette had lived in South Hadley since 1985.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in South Hadley.
She leaves her husband of 50 years, Wilfred Forgette; a son, W. Paul Forgette of Springfield; two daughters, Marie Leary of Springfield and Alice Carter of Chicopee; a sister, Dorothy Miesch of Chicopee; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Messier Funeral Home in South Hadley, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church.
Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery in Chicopee.
Calling hours are today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
