Mr. O'Quinn was born in Williams, a son of Tyler O'Quinn and Florrie Harrison O'Quinn. He was a graduate of Clemson University. He served in the Army and National Guard. He was a Mason and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
He was the widower of Catherine Elizabeth O'Quinn. Surviving are two sons, James J. O'Quinn and Samuel R. O'Quinn, both of Ridgeland; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
