Death: Jun. 27, 1962
New York

Henrietta was named after her grandfather, Henry P. Cowenhoven, who died when she was 7. Her maternal grandmother died when she was 8 and her mother, Catherine, passed away when she was 9. She attended public school in Aspen. August, 1898, Miss Mammie Canning accompanied Henrieta and her sister, Daisy, to Paris where they completed their education. Their father went with them to get them situated.

Henrietta was known as an Aspen heiress, inheriting millions from the Cowenhoven and Brown families.

She married Loomis Hammond Taylor (b. July 30, 1889 in Skaneateles, Onondaga, New York) April 19, 1913, at St. Marks on the Bowery Episcopal Church, New York, New York, New York, by Rev. Irving Tucker. Two hours after the ceremony, they boarded the North German Lloyd steamship, George Washington sailing to Europe. This marriage ended in divorce.

Children (all born in New York, New York, New York):
1. Katherine Cowenhoven (Taylor) Lanier b. March 26, 1915 d. October 08, 1967 in Wacabuc, Westchester, New York. Married Henry Wysham Lanier

2. Margaret Lawrence Taylor b. May 08, 1916 d. January 26, 2012, in York Harbor, York, Maine. Married Granger Kent Costikyan.

3. Virginia Taylor b. November 03, 1921

4. Hope Taylor

Loomis' occupations included stage manager of the Metropolitan opera house, stage director 28, owned his own real estate company and broker. The family traveled extensively in Europe. The girls were educated at schools in Long Island, NY; Paris; Munich; and Berlin. They enjoyed summer vacations in Aspen with Henrietta's father, DRC Brown and family.

There seems to be a possibility that Henrietta was buried in Peru Cemetery, Hinsdale, Berkshire, Massachusetts and this is a cenotaph or vice a versa.
