Mrs. Ollie Minerva Jones was born on July 29, 1920 in Rayville, LA to the union of Thomas Antley and Birdie Brown where she grew up in Delhi, LA. Not long after marrying Arville W. Jones, they moved to California where she spent most of her adult years. Returning to Delhi once she and Arville retired, they spent many years traveling, camping and fishing which was a joy to her. Mrs. Jones passed from this life on August 23, 2012 at the age of 92 in Keller, TX.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her three sons and their wives: Arville T. & Nancy Jones of Bakersfield, CA, Charles R. & Rita Jones of Garden Grove, CA and James R. & Lupe Jones of Keller, TX. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
She is also survived by her siblings, Pete Antley, Russell Antley Sr. and Christine Martin all of Delhi, LA and Maxine Maxwell of Tallulah, LA.
Mrs. Jones will be laid to rest along side of her husband Arville who preceded her in death in 1988.
Funeral services will be held at Robinson Baptist Church on September 1, 2012 at 3:00PM with viewing during 2:00-3:00PM. Interment will follow in Faith Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Delhi.
Pallbearers will be Danny Martin, Neal Maxwell, Russell Antley Jr., Ken Hales Jr., Keith Antley and Lynn Laughman.
God has called home another Angel, who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
