Richard A. 'Richie' Noyes II, age 11, died March 5, 2004, of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born May 3, 1993 in Monterey, he spent his life in Monterey County and was a student at University Park School. Richard loved baseball and was drafted by the Hartnell Little League Majors 'The Cardinals'.
He also loved music and was learning to play the trumpet and wanted to learn the saxophone because of his love of jazz music. He also collected and had over 1000 model cars.
He loved to read; his favorite books included Harry Potter. Richie never stopped smiling and his trademark was that he ran fast, like the wind.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Pitman of Gonzales; his father and stepmother, Richard and Tiffani Noyes of Seaside; stepfather Ramiro Gonzales of King City; brother Rhett Gonzalez of Gonzales; step sister Mckenzi Blanton of Seaside; maternal grandmother Evelyn Lopez of Gonzales; paternal grandparents John & Connie Noyes of Salinas; maternal grandfather Bob Pitman of Salinas; maternal grandmother Vickie Pitman of Salinas; eight uncles: Robert (Rachel) Soratos of Salinas, Richard (Monica) Soratos of Salinas; Alex (Martha) Grimes of Mexicali, MX, Robert S. Pitman of Palo Alto, CA, John (Darlene) Noyes of Moraga, CA, Ron Lopez of Elk Grove, CA, Hector Lopez of Salinas, Oscar Lopez of San Diego, CA; great aunt Cathy Brown of Gonzales; and numerous cousins and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Lopez, earlier this month.
Visitation will be held at Healey Mortuary on Wed, Mar 10 from 1-9PM. An evening prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 7PM at Healey Mortuary Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Mar 11 at 10AM at Healey Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow services in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Salinas. Healey Mortuary, 405 N.
