Kim Kristine Sprunger of Merrill, Michigan, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012, at Mid-Michigan Hospital. Age 58 years. The daughter of the late Ellen (Morrison) and Lloyd Knepper was born October 19, 1953 in Traverse City, Michigan. She married David J. Sprunger, April 2, 1978. He passed away February 27, 2011. She had been employed by Timbertown and State Lanes and as a Saginaw News Carrier for 21 years. She and her husband owned and operated the Smoker's Club in Mt. Pleasant, MI. She was an avid race fan and served as secretary of M.T.S.O.K. She enjoyed country music and took in and cared for many stray animals. Surviving are her daughter, Melody Moore and her friend, Jaramia Richards; three grandchildren, Angelica Moore, Victoria Moore, Johnathon Williams; two sisters, Connie Cornejo and her husband, Ross; Sharon Aungst; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Gail Sprunger; many nieces and nephews, and Darrell Moore whom she thought of as a son. A brother, Joseph Knepper, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Friday and from Noon until the time of the funeral service.
