COLUMBIANA – There will be funeral services on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St. in Boardman for Marjory Jean Bohnstedt, 88, formerly of Boardman, who died Monday morning, Aug. 20, 2012, at Parkside Health Center.

She was born March 15, 1924, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Carl and Bernice (Hunt) Swanson.

Marjory was married to Robert L. Bohnstedt at the Indianola Methodist Church in Youngstown on March 13, 1946.

She and her husband lived in England, Alabama, Illinois, Delaware and then moved to Boardman in 1965, after Robert retired from the Air Force.

She was a member of the Boardman United Methodist Church and a member of the Ivy League Garden Club. She was a homemaker interested in gardening, ceramics, and decorating.

Marjory is survived by a son, Niles L. (Barbara) Bohnstedt of The Villages, Fla.; a grandson, Eric R. (Lisa) Bohnstedt; a great-granddaughter, Jazlyn Rose Bohnstedt, both of Roswell, Ga.; a sister, Janet (James) Lingafelt of North Jackson; a sister-in-law, Madelyn Swanson of Pennsylvania; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Robert, who died on Jan. 15, 2005, Marjory was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Dodson; and a brother, Carl Swanson Jr.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Boardman. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
