According to the death certificate he was married to Minnie Lee Bennett. His father was John Patrick Darrah from Ireland and Catherine Naughton from Tennessee.
Alexander Darrah was a teacher and professor. He was an administrator during the late 1800's at Union City's School and under his administration a tower and clock were added to the building. I believe he was the first principal at Chattanooga's Central High School and was instrumental in setting up the schools Football program.
