GALENA SMELTERMAN DIES.

Galena, Kan., April 11, - John Elbert Patty, 65 years old, a retired smelterman, died at 5:25 o’clock this morning at his home on Shaw Hill, Galena, after an illness one year.

A native of Christian county, Missouri, he had lived in Galena for many years. He was married here in 1910 to Miss Lillie Shaw, who survives.

Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harry A. Schehrer of Miami, Okla., and Mrs. Robert L. Scott of Galena; two brothers, Elmer Patty of Yuma, Ariz., and Sherman Patty of Baxter Springs; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Spears of Vinita; Mrs. Irene Dodge of Lamar, Colo., Mrs. May Hammonds of Everett, Wash., and Mrs. Cora Paradee of Los An- geles; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Myrtle Patty and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are in charge of the Derfelt funeral home.
