Edward H. Gehring, son of Charles J. and Emily Hinz Geh-ring, was born November 18, 1924 at Arapahoe, Nebraska. He departed this life in Houston, Texas, on September 23, 2004.

He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Arapahoe, Nebraska. He attended Immanuel Parochial School and graduated from Arapahoe High School. He also served a tour of duty in the U.S. Navy after graduation.

Following his retirement from the oil industry, he joined the AAA Travel Agency where he was employed for the past 11 years. He was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church.

He married Pearl Mabry of Houston and would have been married 30 years in November. Ed and Pearl were avid ballroom dancers never missing their Saturday night dates.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his beloved wife, Pearl; two sisters, Bertha Monter of Arapahoe, Nebraska and Myrtle Hain of North Hollywood, California; one brother, Paul Gehring, of Arapahoe; two sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law, nephews and nieces, and a host of friends.

Preceding him in death were brothers, George, William and Gordon and sister, Erna Berg-man.

Funeral services were held at the George H. Lewis Funeral Chapel in Houston, Texas. Interment was at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery with military honors.
