Oliver Husted died April 26, 1884 aged 76 years, 2 months and 9 days. Father Husted was born in Wayne county, Penn;, in 1806
and his parents father moved with their family to Ohio, when he was
about seven years old, where he grew to manhood, toiling hard in
subduing the dense forests of Holmes and Coshocton counties. He
married Miss Laura Smith in 1830 and moved with his family to
McDonough County, IL in 1845 and from there to Putnam County in
1866. His first wife died in 1867 and he married again in 1868. His last sickness was long and painful but he was patient and submissive in it all. A wife and nine children and 31 grandchildren are left to mourn his
loss.
