Sept 11, 1902 - Carroll Sentinel - Fred Albertson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ubbo Albertson, died at his home at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning. Fred had been in apparently good health and his sudden death was a terrible shock to everyone. He had been working regularly and had not been sick, except an occasional slight indisposition.

Tuesday night he was down town late in the evening, went to bed feeling as usual and got up at 2 o'clock to get a drink. His brother, who slept in the next room, heard him and afterwards noticed him breathing heavily but thought nothing of it. An hour later he discovered that he was dead. A doctor was summoned at once who said that death was caused from heart failure.

Fred was one of a family of five boys and two girls. He was the third son, having two brothers older than himself, and was source of pride to his parents. His death same as a terrible shock and bereavement to the whole community, who join in sympathy for the stricken family. The funeral will be held at the Presbyterian church tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.
