Nathan and Margaret were married 3 Feb 1829 in Scott Co, KY. They moved to Brown County, Illinois sometime about 1838. Five of the children were born in Illinois. Her brother Benjamin came very early from Scott Co to Brown County. He married his wife, Julia Ann Brooks in Schuyler County, Illinois and they lived in Mount Sterling. He died at the age of 82 in 1893 at the home of his son Barton J. Stout in Pittsifield, Pike Co. Illinois.
Francis 'Marion' Stout 1823-1907 was the nephew of Benjamin and also Margaret.

Mrs. Margaret Kendrick, an aged lady living three miles southwest of Mt. Sterling, died on Friday night of last week. The funeral occurred from the family residence on Sunday, conducted by Elder Sharples and the remains were interred in the Mt.Sterling City Cemetery.
