Mrs A. W. Guffey Died at Pineville
Mrs Eva Oma Stockard Guffey aged 69 died at her home at Pineville, Tuesday evening, December 11, following several days illness.
She was a native of Izard, was born at Newburg, and practically all her life was spent in Izard and Fulton Counties. In 1900 she was married to A. W. Guffey, to which union 11 children born, one passing away at the age of 11, Mrs Guffey became a Christian in 1907 and remained a faithful Christian until called by death.
Surviving are her husband; ten children, Estel, Emporia, Kansas; Grestel, Viola, Ark.; Roe, Bakersfield, Mo.; Ray and Olleta, West Plains, Mo.; Thetus, Mitchell, Ark.; Oler, Salem, Ark.; Kay, St. John, Kansas; Voileda, Calico Rock and Orel, Peace Valley, Mo.; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at Wild Cherry Wednesday afternoon by Elder Frank Puckett and burial was in Wild Cherry cemetery with the Hall Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Pall bearers were: John Sherman, Jas. Felts, W. J. Whitfield, Roy Perryman, Newt Caple and Neill Brooks.
