Allan S. Barber , 90, of the 400 block of Brickby Road, passed away Aug. 18, 2000.
Born in Norfolk, he was the widower of Virginia Smith Barber and Louise Sykes Barber. He was a retired sales consultant with American Bakers Co-Operative. He was a member of Fairmont Park United Methodist Church, Naomi Masonic Lodge No. 87 and a former member of Khedive Temple of the Shrine.
He will be sadly missed by three daughters, Norma Verville of Brookfield, Fla., Sherry Hatfield of Virginia Beach and Milinda Derrenbacker of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, George W. Barber.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Fred Archer. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norfolk.
