Charles was enumerated in the 1890 US Federal census, Veteran's Schedule in Jun 1890 at (Linden) Malden, MA, as having served in the 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry and received a rupture, noting that his papers are at Washington.
Charles M. Plummer died on 16 Dec 1901 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, of peretonitis.
His wife received a pension until she died sometime aftr 1910.
