"Dr. Thomas H. Adkins DDS, 95 years old of Austin passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012.

"Thomas was born May 12, 1917 in Fort Worth to William Hugh Adkins and Annie Bell Fulton. He served in the Army before attending TCU and Baylor College of Dentistry, earning his DDS. He married Leta Eugenia "Jean" Miller on June 30, 1950 in Fort Worth, they have shared 62 years together.

"Survivors include his loving wife Jean, 1 daughter and son in law; Leta and Sonny Laguna of Austin, 2 grandsons and granddaughter in law; Jason and Naomi Laguna, and Shane Laguna all of Austin, 4 great grandchildren; Kayla Laguna, Janae Laguna, Grace Laguna, and Frankie Esquivel, 1 sister in law; Dorothy Norris, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

"Service will be Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion at 11:00 a.m. With Rev. John Stanislaw officiating, interment will follow under the direction of Walker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Shriner Childrens Hospital."
