Ora May Vance Shepherd, our loving little Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 26, 2004, at the American Fork Hospital.

May was born October 1, 1914, in Fairview, Utah, to Isaac Moroni and Mary Elizabeth Housekeeper Vance. She was their only daughter; she had six brothers, all deceased.

She married Charles Aaron Shepherd, July 1, 1933, in Manti, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. They raised their family in Spring Canyon, Carbon County; and, in Lehi, Utah.

May served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a temple worker in the Provo Temple. She and her husband served a mission in Tallahassee, Florida. After the death of her husband, May served a mission in the Bishop's Storehouse. She donated many hours as a Pink Lady at the American Fork Hospital. Even with meager means, her love and caring was displayed by giving generously to those in need. She was an independent little lady, loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: LaRaine (Don) Littleford, Orem; Sharon (Edward) Sorenson, Levan; Kent (Leita) Shepherd, Lehi; 14 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson, Bret Sorenson. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at 11 a.m., in the American Fork West Stake Center, 500 North 700 West, American Fork. Friends and family may call at the Wing Mortuary, 118 E. Main, Lehi, Tuesday evening, from 6-8 p.m.; and, at the church in American Fork, Wednesday, one hour prior to services.

Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery.
