Funeral services for Eleanor M. Adams, 90, of 407 Lurgan Ave., Shippensburg, will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Shippensburg Presbyterian Church, East King Street, Shippensburg.

She died Monday, Sept. 18, 2000 at home.

Born June 4, 1910, in Doylesburg, Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Sarah Myers Miller, and the widow of Thomas Miles Adams.

A 1924 graduate of the former Dry Run High School, she was a longtime Democratic inspector for the Franklin County Board of Elections in the West End Precinct of Shippensburg.

She was a member of Shippensburg Presbyterian Church, Chambersburg Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Shippensburg Civic Club and a Lioness with the Path Valley Lions Club.

Mrs. Adams is survived by two sons, Dr. Lynn I. Adams and Lyle W. Adams, both of Shippensburg; three sisters, Velma Gets of Lancaster, Bell Hess of Shade Gap and Dorothy Flood of Chambersburg; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.

The Rev. Dr. John C. Berstecher will officiate at services. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
