An employe of York Corporation for 30 years, the deceased was a member of the Yorkee 25-Year Club. He was born at Waterstreet, Huntingdon County, a son of Josiah D. and Ida (Hileman) Harnish. He was reared in Huntingdon County where he attended the Pine Grove School in Morris Township.
Surviving are his wife, Fannie (Witta) Harnish of York; three brothers, Lynn H. Harnish, Clair Harnish and Earle Harnish, all of Alexandria; and a sister Mrs. J. (Lillian) Moore, also of Alexandria. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Edward W. Bauneister Colonial mortuary at York. The Rev. Ralph E. Boyer, pastor of York Gospel Center, officiated and interment was at the Mount Rose Cemetery in York.
